Russian vet develops endoprosthesis for dogs

This year, Ilya Vilkovisky, head doctor at a chain of Moscow veterinary clinics, has developed and patented a new endoprosthesis for dogs weighing more than 18kg. The prosthesis is made of a special titanium alloy. The vet developed it in conjunction with a company that has been making similar designs for humans for more than 20 years. Hip dysplasia in dogs can now also be treated in Russia.
