Diplomats, embassy officials and dignitaries from various countries attended the 47th anniversary celebration of Angola's independence. The meeting took place at the Republic's representative office in Moscow. Augusto da Silva Cunha, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Angola to Russia, noted that the countries have historically enjoyed strong friendly relations. He also stressed the need to further develop economic, political and cultural ties and to increase mutual trade.
