Kathak is a classical dance of the peoples of northern India, translated from Sanskrit as "history". For more than 30 years, this art form has been taught to Russians at the Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Centre in Moscow. Here you can also learn to play Indian music on the harmonium and tanpura. All the teachers at the centre come from India. They share their culture with the Russians every day. There are now more than 160 students at the centre.
