A 3rd edition of Khelo India National Winter Games was conducted between February 10-14 at the world-famous ski resort at Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir. It was inaugurated by Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Thakur and Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir Manoj Sinha. During the competition, various events like Ice Stocking, Ice Hockey, Bandy Curling, Bobsleighing and Skelton, Snow Shoe, Nordic, Ski Mountaineering, Alpine G Slalom, and Cross Country were held. 11 games were played and around 1,500 players from 29 states and Union Territories participated.
