The prestigious international Benois de la Danse prize for the most outstanding choreographic works in the ballet art, created last year, was awarded on the historical stage of the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.

The jury consists of world ballet stars from Russia, China, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Brazil and Cuba. They themselves nominated the candidates, from which the best were subsequently selected. Winners were chosen in three categories: "Male Dancers", "Female Dancers" and "Choreographers". The festival was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
