The Russia-Africa Summit in St. Petersburg was attended by delegations from 49 countries

Delegations came from 49 countries, 17 of them are represented at the highest level. Russia and Africa are ready to co-operate not only in agriculture, medicine, tourism, but also in culture and art. Several African countries expressed their desire to co-operate in the field of energy at the summit. Russian specialists are already building a nuclear power plant in Egypt. A total of three dozen energy projects are planned to be implemented on the continent.

At the specialised session, experts also spoke about Africans' love for the Russian language. According to Vladimir Putin, there are plans to open branches of leading Russian universities in Africa. Russia is ready to share experience, ideas, projects, specialists and technologies with Africa.
