The exhibition of Indian "Devanagari" writing, which took place in the Lenin Russian State Library (RSL), for the first time presented book rarities from the RSL's collections written in Sanskrit, as well as calligraphic works of the members of the "Society of Sanskrit Revivalists".

Researchers note that due to their linguistic peculiarities Sanskrit texts give an opportunity to understand more about the world culture, about the past of peoples and to learn their native language better.
