Graduates of the Bolshoi Theatre School in Brazil take leading roles in "Swan Lake" on a historic Moscow stage

Description
Video info

A village celebration instead of the traditional palace, the prince’s friend instead of a court jester — this is the backdrop to Princess Odette’s transformation into a swan. A new production of Swan Lake premiered on Moscow’s historic main stage, featuring a fresh interpretation of the classic ballet. The set designer, choreographer and librettist was Vladimir Vasiliev. The principal roles were performed by Amanda Gomes and Wagner Carvalho, both graduates of the Bolshoi Theatre School in Brazil.

How was the storyline of this contemporary version conceived? What inspired the design and the new libretto?
