Russia hosted the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition, the largest event in the world of classical music. One of the judges of this year's competition was the legendary Chinese pianist Liu Shikun. His world fame came to him at the age of 19, when in 1958 he won the first International Tchaikovsky Competition. This year he came to the Russian capital not only as a member of the jury, but also as a teacher and artist.
